Practical leadership development for demanding conditions

The Work

I work with leaders on the practical realities of leading well when things are complex, fast-moving, or simply relentless.

My approach is situation-focused. We work with what's actually happening in your leadership life—not theoretical frameworks or abstract principles, but the real dynamics you're navigating right now.

Areas of Focus

Presence Under Pressure

Developing the capacity to remain clear, grounded, and responsive when everything feels urgent. This includes building practical techniques that work in the moment—not just in reflection afterward.

Delegation and Empowerment

Building the leadership muscles that allow effective delegation without the anxiety that often accompanies letting go. This involves developing genuine confidence in your team's capacity while maintaining appropriate oversight.

Navigating Complexity

Working through difficult decisions and interpersonal dynamics that come with senior leadership—the situations where there's no clear playbook and standard approaches fall short.

How I Work

I typically begin with a three-month period of fortnightly sessions. If there's value in continuing, we move to monthly sessions focused on ongoing development and emerging challenges.

The work is practical. We focus on current situations and develop specific capacities that transfer directly to your daily leadership. Clients often find they pick up skills that begin helping immediately, while learning to integrate them more deeply until they become second nature.

I'm based in New Zealand and work with clients internationally via video call. Time zone differences with most regions are manageable with some flexibility.

Experience

I've worked with leaders across various sectors over many years. My longest engagement has been a five-year relationship with a Corporate Vice President at a major technology company, navigating complex organisational dynamics and high-stakes leadership demands.

My clients tend to be thoughtful leaders who sense something needs to shift in how they're operating—but haven't found the right support to make that change stick.

Next Step

If you're curious whether there's a fit, I'm happy to have an initial conversation. No obligation—these relationships work best when there's genuine alignment on both sides.
